ATHIRAPALLY FALLS
Athirapally Falls is located a bit far from the city centre but the sheer beauty of it deserves a visit. The fall is 330 feet wide and has a plunge altitude of 80 feet! Just imagine the magnitude! Maybe this is the reason why Athirapally Falls is often called the Niagara Falls of India. The fall is right in front of the Sholayar ranges and is a part of the Chalakudy River that originates in the Anamudi mountains of the Western Ghats. The waterfall has a calming effect on the onlookers and infuses a positive energy into the visitors. A rich haven for flora and fauna, Athirapally Falls is a popular picnic spot for the locals!
Peechi-Vazhani Wildlife Sanctuary
The Peechi-Vazhani Wildlife Sanctuary is the ultimate destination for anyone enamoured with the intrinsic beauty of nature. Sprawling over a 125 sq. km complex, it lies about 20 km east of Thrissur. It is situated in the catchment area of the Peechi and Vazhani Dams. It is part of the Palapilli-Nelliampathy forests and forms the northern boundary of the Chimmini Wildlife Sanctuary.

Shakthan Thampuran Palace
Shakthan Thampuran Palace is situated in City of Thrissur in Kerala state, India. It is named as Vadakkekara Palace, was reconstructed in Kerala-Dutch style in 1795 by Ramavarma Thampuran of the erstwhile Princely State of Cochin, well as Sakthan Thampuran (Greatest ruler of the Cochin dynasty) is preserved by Archaeological Department. The palace was converted into a museum in 2005 by State.
